Cultural Currents is a conversation series created and moderated by Stephanie Afrifa. In this series, she talks to local and international talents who, like a steady tide, shape the cultural landscape and push creative boundaries.

The show came to life out of her own experience of navigating the worlds of art, culture and media, often having to figure things out for herself. Especially as a Black woman, she rarely saw role models who had walked a similar path, so she had to find her own way and kick in doors along the way.

With Cultural Currents, Stephanie wants to pass on the insights, experiences and lessons she had to seek out herself, offering the next generation a glimpse into the journeys behind the people shaping culture today. At its heart, Cultural Currents is about creating space for honest, vulnerable and curious conversations. The atmosphere is intimate, warm and playful, leaving room for questions, unexpected tangents, laughter and the kind of exchanges that go beyond the usual interview. A space to share openly, learn from one another and see a little more of ourselves in each other's stories.
